Old Scroll of Lotusby *Aishishi

I tried to draw an artwork in the old, japanese style

It was harder than I'd expected and I don't know if I should like how the picture looks like or not. x'D

As you can see I used my new character "Lotus" for this experiment. I'm pretty sure he won't mind |D...

I'm surprised I haven't commented on this before. I love it so much ! You captured the olden Japanese style perfectly ! I love the way it looks like it's actually drawn on the scroll. The texture helps a lot with that c:

As for a small tip (not that you need it since your art is a-ma-zing), the brush strokes on a scroll tend to be uneven. Some areas are thicker and noticeably darker than other thinner areas. I see that you have done that for Lotus's leaves, but adding a bit more of the thick and thin contrast could really make it pop.

But then again, what do I know haha c:
